Eden is an Essex woman in her late forties, with one husband, with two dogs, and a part time cat. She is inspired by David Sedaris’s humour, Barbara Conwys writing style, and Sarah Millican’s unashamed love of food.
She is the independent publisher, and author, of hilarious, candid and occasionally tragic modern fiction collections. And of non-fiction guides to writing and the various steps in the author journey, which she writes under the name E. Gruger.
Eden is passionate about literacy issues, so her work is all designed according to The British Dyslexia Association suggestions. With a larger, regular shaped font, extra spacing between lines, and bold titles to make it clear to readers when a new story starts.
"Everyone should be able to pick up a book and get stuck in if they want to, it is up to writers and publishers to design their books in ways that help everyone get involved".
When not writing Eden is passionate about helping new and struggling writers through her Make Your Book A Reality masterclasses and mentoring. And loves challenging the stereotypes around living with invisible disability.
