Mental Health Warrior Podcast
I recently spoke to Amy of the Mental Health Warrior & Neurospicy Mama podcast, to share my experience of being diagnosed with autism at age fifty.
Amy describes her podcast as “a safe space to talk about mental health and neurodivergence with someone who understands”. She has bipolar disorder, ADHD and anxiety, and suspects that she has autism as well. A single mom to a teenage daughter who has AuDHD and anxiety, Amy strives to open up the discussion on these topics and erase the stigma that surrounds them, to let others know that there is always hope, and they are not alone.
I certainly enjoyed our conversation, and found myself opening up to Amy
We discussed going from anxiety to understanding, the power of self-discovery, navigating relationships & independence, and my advice for others in the same position.
Amy very kindly said “Eden’s story highlights the power of self-knowledge and finding community. We hope her honesty inspires you—whether you’re embracing your neurodivergence or supporting someone on their journey”.
